Service overview

Bathrooms without the chaos

Most bathroom horror stories aren't about bad tiling — they're about coordination. The plumber finishes Tuesday, the tiler turns up Friday, the electrician 'next week', and the homeowner is left without a working shower for three weeks longer than promised. We don't work that way.

What it is

Full bathroom installation: strip-out, first-fix plumbing, electrical first-fix (NICEIC partner where notifiable), plastering, tiling, second-fix plumbing, sanitaryware fitting, glazing and silicone — coordinated as one job, not five.

Who it's for

Homeowners in Scunthorpe, Brigg, Messingham, Hull, Grimsby and Doncaster refurbishing a tired bathroom, fitting an en-suite into a master bedroom, converting a downstairs WC into a shower room, or installing a level-access wet room.

When it's needed

When the existing bathroom is dated, leaking, suffering from black mould around the silicone, on a sloping floor, or simply doesn't suit the house anymore. Also for new builds, loft conversions and extensions.

Why a professional matters

Bathrooms are the room with the most behind-the-wall plumbing, the most electrical regulation, the most waterproofing risk and the highest sale-value uplift. Get it wrong once and the damp shows on the ceiling below within a year.

What goes wrong

What goes wrong when bathrooms are fitted badly

We rip out a lot of two-year-old bathrooms. The problems are always the same.

No proper tanking in wet zones

Tiles aren't waterproof — the grout and the substrate are. Without tanking (BAL WP1, Mapei, Schlüter Kerdi) behind the tiles, water gets into the wall and rots plasterboard inside a year.

Cheap silicone, mould guaranteed

Builder-grade silicone goes mouldy in six months. We use sanitary-grade silicone with anti-fungal additives and tool it properly — lasts years, not months.

Wrong shower waste flow rate

A 90mm shower waste behind a 200mm rain head will pool — every time. We size the waste to the head and slope the tray properly.

Electrical work outside zones

Sockets and switches in IP-rated zones without RCD protection, mixed cable and pipe runs in studs — all fails Part P. Notifiable work goes through a Part P registered partner with certificate.

Sanitaryware sat on wonky floors

WCs and basins fitted to floors that haven't been levelled rock, snap the wax seal and leak through to the kitchen ceiling. We level and dry-fit before final fix.

No isolation valves added

When something fails later, you shouldn't have to turn the whole house off. Every supply behind every appliance gets an accessible isolation valve.

In detail

Bathroom types and what we install

Full bathrooms, en-suites, shower rooms and wet rooms — supplied to your spec or sourced through our trade accounts at retail-minus pricing.

Family bathrooms

Traditional bath-plus-shower-over layouts refreshed with modern thermostatic mixers, slim-line baths, vanity units, illuminated mirrors and underfloor heating.

En-suites

Master bedroom en-suites in Scunthorpe and Hull — typically a shower enclosure or walk-in, slim WC and basin unit. Cassette extractors plumbed to outside, proper isolation.

Wet rooms & level-access showers

Schlüter Kerdi or AKW formers, fully tanked, falls set, drainage sized to the head. Genuine level-access for mobility or simply for the look.

Shower & bath replacement

Single-day replacement of bath, screen, mixer or shower without a full bathroom rip-out. Where the existing tiling and floor are still good.

Brands we fit regularly

Hansgrohe, Grohe, Bristan, Aqualisa, Mira, Triton, Roca, Duravit, Villeroy & Boch, Roper Rhodes, Crosswater. We'll specify whatever you've chosen — and tell you honestly if a brand has known reliability issues.

Underfloor heating in bathrooms

Electric mat under tiled bathroom floors is the single best comfort upgrade per pound spent. We pair with a programmable floor thermostat tied to your usual shower time.

Extractor & ventilation

Mould isn't a cleaning problem, it's a ventilation problem. We fit DC inline extractors (Manrose, Vent-Axia) ducted to outside on a humidistat — the only fix that actually works.

Accessibility & adaptations

Grab rails, low-threshold trays, walk-in showers, raised-height WCs, lever taps. Sensible, dignified adaptations for staying in the home longer.

Can't see your question? Ring Azim directly on 07576 593045.

How much does a new bathroom cost in Scunthorpe?

A mid-range family bathroom installed in a Scunthorpe semi (rip-out, tiling, mid-range sanitaryware supplied) typically lands £6,500–£9,500. A premium en-suite with a wet room finish and designer brassware sits £10,000–£16,000. Every quote is fixed in writing before any work starts.

How long does a bathroom take?

Typical full bathroom: 7–10 working days from strip-out to finished silicone. En-suites: 5–8 working days. We confirm dates in writing and stick to them.

Will I have a working bathroom in the meantime?

On a single-bathroom property we work fast to restore a working WC and basin as early as possible. We'll talk through realistic expectations on the survey.

Can I supply my own bathroom suite?

Yes — most of our customers do. We'll provide a check-list of what to order (and what to avoid) before you spend.

Do you tile?

Yes — fully in-house. Wall and floor tiling, including large-format and natural stone.

Do you handle the electrics?

Yes. First-fix in-house, notifiable certification through our Part P registered partner. Single quote, single timeline.

Do you guarantee the work?

5-year workmanship guarantee on the install. Manufacturer warranties on the sanitaryware (typically 5–25 years depending on brand).

Will you take the old bathroom away?

Yes — strip-out, waste and packaging all skipped and disposed of properly. The room is dust-cleaned at completion.
